I am 賴老師 Lài lǎoshī (lǎoshī means teacher in Mandarin Chinese). I grew up in Taiwan and am a bilingual native speaker of Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. I went to England for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. I received my Masters degree at Oxford Brookes University. I moved to the United States in 2006 and began teaching Mandarin Chinese classes. I teach young children and have also taught university students at The University of Texas at Austin. I practiced yoga when I moved to the US in 2006 and since then I enjoy yoga exercises. I completed kids yoga teacher training, and I’m a certified Cosmic Kids yoga teacher. I have been a teacher for 15+ years. I love being with kids. For my kid’s yoga classes, children will develop literacy and use simple yoga poses and mindfulness breathing exercises combined with stories, rhymes and songs.
